The "True Citizens Campaign" is a campaign initiated by group of young-spirited people from around the globe who have chosen to take responsibility for sensitizing others to the value of all aspects of human life by offering their knowledge, artistic expression and experience to the benefit of the community. We are all humans growing in different environments, cultures, traditions, religions, experiences and beliefs.

As co-founder of the True Citizens Campaign, in collaboration with Amir Lama (president of Aangan Foundation and Studio Mandala), Krishna Thing's implication in the movement manifests primarily in his work with local children. In 2013 T.C.C. members opened a community school in which they offer tutoring and a diverse range of activities to children from 4 to 15 years old with the intention to pass on a strong moral education and open-mindedness to human diversity.

Krishna's art education program, "Colourful Hands", aims to give young people freedom of expression by eliminating the constraints of culture, race, religion and gender.

The children of the school also participate in weekly cleaning campaigns held every saturday. By including them in the responsibility of having a clean environment, Krishna and Amir hope to pass on the their students some important human values, such as the respect of the environment and of others, by encouraging them to action. See the page on environmental art for more information on other environmentaly related projects.

Exchanging, sharing, and creating a positive environment for personal growth with others is an active and benevolent approach to understanding the value of human dignity and respecting the diversity of human life. We are living in the century of possibilities and opportunities. We have access to all kinds of knowledge and experiences with which to prepare ourselves. The challenges that we encounter every day are means to fulfill and value our desires and needs. The True Citizens Campaign thrives to create a happy, healthy and harmonious society globally by applying true values in its local environment. Its focus is to channel people's resources, knowledge, skills, time, space and funds with respect to the daily rhythm of their local community.
